There are several varieties of peels including; very superficial, superficial, medium depth and deep peels. Here at Skin we offer Active Medical Grade very superficial, superficial peel and medium depth peels, these peels are compounded of Lactic, Mandelic, Glycolic, Retinoic, Salicylic, Resorcinol and Trichloroacetic Acid. Each Peel is recommended for correcting different concerns, relating to the individual. The procedure works to break down proteins within the skin which results in exfoliation of skin cells. They remove damaged or abnormal cells in order to replace them with healthy and more organised cells. Through the stimulation of inflammation deeper in the skin chemical peels can also stimulate new collagen formation resulting in thicker, healthier skin. These peels are designed to not only improve skin texture, tone but also help correct those tell-tale signs of ageing such as fine to moderate lines and sun damage. Downtime time can be longer from a medium depth peel as the new skin needs time to regenerate. The effects are not only more noticeable but also longer lasting and therefore only need to be performed once to twice per year. Skin Peels can improve:

Cosmelan
Cosmelan works to correct hyperpigmentation while regulating the overproduction of melanin in the melanocytes. It inhibits tyrosinase activity within the melanosome and reduces oxidative stress, which decreases the production of melanin. The result is to inhibit and control the development of new dark spots while correcting existing dark spots. Cosmelan is unique in that it is both corrective and preventive for immediate and long-term results. When the mask is applied and left on for the prescribed amount of time, you may see up to 95% reduction in the skin’s pigmentation on the surface of the skin within 30 days. A continued reduction in the skin’s pigment may be seen with daily application of Cosmelan 2 at home. Hyperpigmentation is a common concern and can have a negative psychological and emotional impact. It is caused by an abnormal production of melanin by the melanocytes (the cells that produce melanin) and results in irregular skin discoloration and dark spots. While treatment options vary, Cosmelan is ideal because it is safe for all skin types and provides results in as few as one to two weeks.
However, it is important that the at home aftercare is strictly followed to achieve optimum results. $1250.00 for the complete system including aftercare products Watch the Cosmelan treatment journey below: Cosmelan before and afters:
